Seasons are changing and much is happening within the CRASH Trial.  More hospitals and countries have obtained ethics committee approval:

In Argentina we have five new centres: Karina Surt at Hospital Escuela, Luis Camputaro at Hospital Italiano, Gustavo Piñero at Hospital Municipal “Dr Leonidas Lucero” and Gustavo Trócolli at José Penna Hospital, as well as Ghana – Dr Nii Andrews at Narh-Bita Hospital and in New Zealand Keith Hickling at Dunedin Hospital.

In the UK we have five new hospitals who have recently obtained ethical approval – Bill Bailey at Chesterfield & North Derbyshire Royal Hospital, Pru Hardy and Laurence Watkins at the Institute of Neurology, Nikki Brown and Yash Gupta at King George Hospital, Geraint Evans and Shirleen Hughes at Withybush General Hospital and Steve Chambers and Mandy Grocutt at Worthing Hospital.  We are looking forward to hearing about patients being enrolled at these hospitals.

New collaborating centres to randomise patients, who have got off to a fantastic start with speedy recruitment, include:
Hussain Khamis in Mataria Teaching Hospital and Hesham El-Sayed in Suez Canal University, both in Egypt, Professor Adeyemi-Doro in Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Nigeria, Laura Balica and Adrian Cristescu at Spitalul Clinic De Urgenta Bucaresti, Romania.

Centres who are recruiting extremely well in the UK include Tony Bleetman & Shiela Pantrini at Birmingham Heartlands, Sam Eljamel at Ninewells Hospital and Medical School, Alan Pinto & Diane Lee at the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary, Sarah Graham & Sandra Bathgate at Whiston Hospital.

Bennie Hartzenberg at Tygerberg Academic Hospital and Naren Nathoo & Sipho Khumalo at Wentworth in South Africa, Jafri Abdullah at Hospital University Science Malaysia and above all Guy Mazairac from Centre Hospitalier Regional De Namur, Belgium and Petr Svoboda & Jiri Ochmann at the Research Institute for Special Surgery and Trauma in Czech Republic - recruitment has been fantastic in all these centres.

Thank you all for your continuing support and dedication to the CRASH Trial!
